When you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address will be used for our own advertising purposes until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. To unsubscribe, you can either send us an informal email to service@maier-sports.de or cancel using the link at the end of the newsletter.

You are free to decide whether you will share this data with us. Without this information, however, we cannot respond to your contact request.

3.2.5 Applicant management
If you are interested in one of the job offers listed on the website, you can send us an email to the email address given in the job offer or by posting a letter to the address in our contact details. We assure you that we will only process the personal data you have given for the purpose of implementing the application process. We store your data for six months after the end of the application process (decision to hire or not hire). The legal basis for the processing of your personal data from your application documents is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
3.2.6 Google reCAPTCHA
In order to ensure sufficient data security when transmitting forms, we use the reCAPTCHA service of the Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, in certain cases.
This is particularly to distinguish whether the input is provided by a natural person or abusively by machine and automated processing. The service includes the sending of the IP address and, if necessary, additional data required by Google for the reCAPTCHA service to Google. For this purpose, the different data protection provisions of Google Inc. apply. Further information on Google’s privacy policy can be found at http: //www.google.de/intl/de/privacy or https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/
3.2.6 Checking product availability
a) Components from OUTTRA
In order to check the local product availability, we use OUTTRRA components from 81 MEDIA GmbH, Ziegelbrennerstr. 5, 73074 Stuttgart. The components use the IP-Address of the user only for the purposes of sending him/her this information. The IP-Address is therefore essential in order to inform about the product availability close to the user.
Upon choosing “by at a local store” the IP-Address of the user at the servers of OUTTRA is anonymized. With the anonymized IP-Address a consultation with a data bank takes place, which allows for a gross localization of the user on the basis of the not-anonymized part of the IP-Address. Thanks to this process, the user will see the local stores, where the products are available.
The legal basis for processing personal data is Art. 6 (1) lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in advertising and sales of our products, as well as in a functionality of our website.
Should checking the product availability be connected with entering a sales agreement, the legal basis for processing personal data is Art. 6 (1) lit. b) GDPR.
According to Art. 21 (1) GDPR you have a right to object for the future, at any time, the processing of personal data based on Article 6(1) lit. f) GDPR.
After ending your browser session, no personal data from the components will be processed by 81 MEDIA GmbH or Maier Sports.
b) GOOGLE-MAPS
Our website uses Google Maps to display our location and to provide directions. This is a service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 (hereinafter: Google).
Through certification according to the EU-US Privacy Shield
https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active
Google guarantees that it will follow the EU's data protection regulations when processing data in the United States.
To enable the display of certain locations on our website, a connection to the Google server in the USA is established whenever our website is accessed.
If you access the Google Maps components integrated into our website, Google will store a cookie on your device via your browser. Your user settings and data are processed to display our location and create a route description. We cannot prevent Google from using servers in the USA.
The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in optimizing the functionality of our website.
By connecting to Google in this way, Google can determine from which website your request has been sent and to which IP address the directions are transmitted.
If you do not agree to this processing, you have the option of preventing the installation of cookies by making the appropriate settings in your browser. Further details can be found in the section about cookies above.
Further, according to Art. 21 (1) GDPR you have a right to object for the future, at any time, the processing of personal data based on Article 6(1) lit. f) GDPR.
In addition, the use of Google Maps and the information obtained via Google Maps is governed by the Google Terms of Use https://policies.google.com/terms?gl=DE&hl=en and the Terms and Conditions for Google Maps https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/help/terms_maps.html.

3.3 Legal basis for the processing of personal data
The collection and use of personal data by our users occurs regularly only with the consent of the user. If we obtain consent for processing operations pertaining to the data subject's personal data, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR serves as the legal basis for the processing of personal data.
An exception to this is valid in such cases where for actual reasons it is not possible to obtain prior consent and the data processing is permitted by legal provisions. For the processing of personal data that is necessary to fulfil a contract for which the data subject is a contracting party, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR serves as the legal basis. This also applies to processing operations necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures.
If the processing of personal data is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation we are subject to, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR serves as the legal basis.
If processing is necessary to maintain a legitimate interest of our company or a third party, and if the interests, fundamental rights, and fundamental freedoms of the data subject are not overriding, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR serves as the legal basis for processing.
3.4 Security, SSL technology
We have taken technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, in particular against accidental or deliberate manipulation, loss, destruction, or access by unauthorized persons. These security measures are continuously adapted according to technological development. The transfer of personal data between your computer or mobile terminal and our server is generally encrypted (SSL protocol, Secure Socket Layer).
3.5 Disclosure of your personal data with third parties
Your personal data is generally not disclosed. Your personal data will only be disclosed or otherwise transmitted to third parties if:
- we are legally obligated to do so due to official or court orders, or
- you have previously given your consent for us to do so.
4. Cookies
In the following, we detail the data processing operations associated with the use of cookies.
4.1 Tracking and Analysis Tool
4.1.1 Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "Cookies", text files stored on your computer that permit analysis of your use of the website.
The information generated by the cookie, for example about the time, location, and frequency of your use of this website, is generally transmitted to a Google server in the United States and stored there. When Google Analytics is used, it is not ruled out that the cookies created by Google Analytics can also record other personal data in addition to the IP address. Please note that Google may disclose this information to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on Google's behalf.
On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use the information generated by cookies to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities, and to provide other services to the website operator connected to website and internet use. According to Google, the IP address sent by your browser as a part of Google Analytics will not be combined with other Google data.
You can generally prevent the storage of cookies by means of appropriate configuration of your browser software. Please note however that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.
It is not ruled out that the cookies created by Google Analytics can also record other personal data in addition to the IP address. To prevent information on your use of the website from being collected by Google Analytics and transmitted to Google Analytics, you can download and install a plugin for your browser using the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
This plugin prevents information on your visit to the website from being communicated to Google Analytics. This plugin does not prevent other types of analysis.
Please note that you cannot use the above-described browser plugin when you visit our website via the browser of a mobile end device (smartphone or tablet). When using a mobile end device, you can prevent the collection of your user data by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link:
By clicking this link, a so-called opt-out cookie is placed in your browser. This prevents information on your visit to the website from being communicated to Google Analytics. Please note that the opt-out cookie is only valid for this browser and only for this domain. If you delete the cookies in this browser, the opt-out cookie is also deleted. To continue to prevent the collection by Google Analytics, you must click on the link again. The use of the opt-out cookie is also possible as an alternative to the above plugin when using the browser on your computer.
In order to ensure the best possible protection of your personal data, the code "anonymizeIp" was added to Google Analytics on this website. This code causes the last 8 bits of the IP addresses to be deleted and your IP address is thus anonymized (so-called IP masking). As a matter of principle, your IP address is shortened by Google within the Member States of the European Union or within other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area and is thus anonymized. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and shortened there.
4.1.2 Matomo
To tailor our website to your needs, we use the web analytics tool "Matomo". During this process, information about the use of our website is collected and transmitted to our server for analysis and storage. Your IP address is only processed in a shortened form during this process, thereby anonymizing it. If you do not want your usage of our website to be analyzed, you have the right to object to the processing of your data at any time. To do so, an opt-out cookie will be placed in your browser, which does not contain any usage data and causes Matomo not to collect any session data.
4.2 Social plugins (Facebook, Google+, Twitter and Youtube)
Our websites contain social plugins of the social networks "Facebook"( Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, California 94304, USA), "Google+" (Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California 94043, USA), "Twitter" (Twitter, Inc., 1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, California 94103, USA), and "YouTube" (Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). These services are offered by the respective companies ("providers"). As part of our online presence, the social plugins are identified by the respective buttons belonging to the service. On the basis of the data transmitted to the respective service via the social plugins, the service may associate you with your account. In order to increase the protection of your data on our website, the social plugins are integrated on our website by means of the so-called "2-click solution". This ensures that no automatic connection to the servers is established by the respective providers when a page of our website containing such social plugins is accessed.
The activation of the function of the respective social plugin takes place in two steps. To activate a social plugin, you must first click on the link on our website. This first activates the social plugin and your browser establishes a connection to the servers of the respective provider. With a second click you can now interact with the social plugin and, for example, submit your recommendation. If you are already logged in to one of the social networks of the providers, the providers can directly assign the visit to this website to your profile. If you interact with the social plugin by clicking, the corresponding information is also directly transmitted to a server of the provider and stored there. This information may also be published on the social network and shown to your contacts there. If you wish to prevent such immediate assignment of your data collected via our website to your profile, you must log out of your account of the respective provider before visiting our website.
Please refer to the privacy policies found directly on the website of the respective service for information on the extent and purpose of data collection by the service as well as the further processing and use of your data there. There you will also receive further information on your corresponding privacy rights and settings options for the protection of your privacy.

4.3 Google Remarketing
Our web pages use the remarketing function of Google Inc. ("Google"). This function is used as part of the Google advertising network to present interest-based advertisements to visitors to a website. The visitor's browser stores so-called "cookies", text files which are stored on your computer and which make it possible to recognize the visitor when he or she visits websites belonging to Google's advertising network. On these internet pages, the visitor can then be presented with advertisements that refer to content that the visitor has previously accessed on internet pages that use the remarketing function of Google. According to its own statements, Google does not collect any personal data in this process. However, if you do not wish to use Google's remarketing function, you can always deactivate it by making the appropriate settings at http://www.google.com/settings/ads. Alternatively, you can disable the use of cookies for interest-based advertising through the Advertising Network Initiative by following the instructions at http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp. For more information about Google Remarketing and Google's privacy policy, please visit: http://www.google.com/privacy/ads/
4.4 Adobe Typekit
We use Adobe Typekit to display fonts on our website. Adobe Typekit is a font library access service provided by Adobe Systems Incorporated, 345 Park Avenue, San Jose, CA 95110-2704, USA (Adobe). When you open a page, the browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache in order to display texts and font types correctly. On providing the Typekit service, no cookies are placed or used to provide the fonts. To provide the Typekit service, Adobe may collect information about the font used in order to identify the website itself and the linked Typekit account.
You will find further information on the Privacy information page for Adobe Typekit as well as in the Adobe Privacy Policy.
4.5 Facebook Pixe
This website uses the Facebook pixel of the social network "Facebook" (Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, California 94304, USA). This is for the purpose of presenting interest-related advertisements to visitors to our website within the framework of their visit to the social network Facebook. Via the Facebook pixel, a direct connection to Facebook servers is established when our website is visited. In the process, the fact that you visited our website is transmitted to the Facebook server and Facebook associates this information with your personal Facebook user account. We would like to point out that as the provider of this website, we do not obtain knowledge of the content of the transmitted data and their use by Facebook. For more information on the collection and use of the data by Facebook and about your rights in this respect and your options to protect your privacy, please refer to Facebook’s privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/. We ourselves do not share customer data with Facebook. You can view further information about your relevant data protection rights and possible settings for protecting your privacy at: https://www.facebook.com/policy.php, https://www.facebook.com/help/186325668085084.
4.6 Legal basis
Our legitimate interest lies in the aforementioned data processing processes and the purposes pursued with them. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
5. Links to third party websites
We link websites of other providers not affiliated with us (third parties). Please note that we have no influence on what data may be collected and processed by these providers when you click on these links. Since the collection and processing of data by third parties is beyond our control, we cannot assume any responsibility for this. For further information on the collection and processing of your data by these third parties, please refer to the privacy policy of the respective provider.
6. Security measures to protect the data stored by us
We have established organizational and technical security measures to protect your data, in particular against loss, manipulation or unauthorized access. We regularly adapt our safety precautions to ongoing technical developments. Intensive information and training of our employees as well as their commitment to data secrecy ensure that your data is treated confidentially. Our security measures also mean that we may occasionally ask you to provide proof of your identity, especially if you contact our customer service by telephone.
7. Use of service providers for the processing of personal data / processing of data in countries outside the European Economic Area
We use service providers to provide services and to process your data relating to our services and products. The service providers process the data exclusively in accordance with our instructions and have been obliged to comply with the applicable data protection regulations. All contracted data processors have been carefully selected and will only have access to your data to the extent and for the time required to provide the services or to the extent to which you have consented to the processing and use of your data.
European Economic Area are subject to data protection that does not generally protect personal data to the same extent as is the case in the member states of the European Union. If your data is processed in a country that does not have a recognized high level of data protection such as in the European Union, we use contractual regulations or other recognized instruments to ensure that your personal data is adequately protected.
8. Storage period
We only store your personal data for as long as this is permitted by law. Stored personal data will be deleted if the user withdraws his consent to its storage or if knowledge of this data is no longer necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was stored, in particular if its storage is not permissible for other legal reasons. Relevant legal retention periods from the German Commercial Code or the Tax Code remain unaffected by this. During the legal retention period, your personal data will be blocked and not used for any other data processing.

9.2 Right of revocation

9.4 Right to deletion and blocking
