Quebec, the French-speaking province in eastern Canada, is still an insider tip for travellers. In fall, the sugar maple trees in the woods present an extravaganza of colours. The park is also home to white-tailed deer and great blue herons, which you can observe in their natural habitat. The park is a popular destination in winter for cross-country skiers and snowshoers.
Culturally-minded travellers should follow the trail of the Aboriginal peoples in Quebec. Quebec, the francophone heartland of North America, has established a culture within 400 years that looks back on a rich legacy. This culture was established by the First Nations, influenced by the French and British rulers and then shaped for a long time by the Catholic Church.
