Our LOOP allows us to recycle clothing so that we can recover valuable fabric. We then give the materials a new lease of life as future Maier Sports clothing.
We are working intensively on a completely sustainable clothing concept: design2recycle–recycle2design (D2R–R2D). We develop our products with a view to ensuring that they can be recycled to the highest possible standard after use. This applies to the entire cycle for our trousers, jackets and shirts. Old products are turned into new, equivalent Maier Sports products. Our goal is to drastically reduce the consumption of fossil raw materials while massively increasing the use of recycled raw materials. We take responsibility by recycling clothing and making it available again as new fibres in our own supply chain.

Sustainable functional materials
Recycled polyester
We are increasingly using recycled materials in the production of our trousers and jackets. This gives used polyester material, which was previously used in PET drinks bottles, for example, a new, high-quality use. This sensible recycling of polyester in new clothing conserves the Earth's natural resources and does not compromise the quality of our clothing. Our long-term goal is to subsequently recycle our textiles, thus closing the loop.
